1:1 Tutoring Literacy and Maths
Basic assessments will be completed when a student starts tutoring sessions to find their strengths and weaknesses. As all students learn differently, a plan for the way forward will be made from these results.
The MSL and Orton-Gillingham frameworks represent the pinnacle of evidence-based instruction for literacy. We integrate visual, auditory, and kinesthetics elements to forge robust brain connections for easier learning and and memory recall. Through systematic progression, we ensure students master the mechanics of decoding and encoding, ultimately building learning through confidence and skills that reflects their true academic potential and long-term achievement.

Comprehensive Assessments
At Putting the Pieces Together, we take the time to understand how your child learns by getting to know them and completing a comprehensive assessment that highlights their strengths as well as the areas where they may need extra support. Using trusted, standardised assessments such as TILLS, CUBE-3, MOTIF, TOWRE we identify the underlying reasons for their literacy difficulties. We can then create an individualised support plan tailored to your child's unique learning profile, ensuring they receive targeted, evidence-based intervention to help them build confidence and reach their full potential.
Holiday Sessions
School holidays provide the perfect opportunity to support your child's learning in a relaxed, positive environment. Our evidence-based tutoring uses proven teaching methods tailored to your child's individual needs, helping to strengthen reading, spelling, writing, and comprehension while building confidence and filling learning gaps. Whether your child needs extra support, has dyslexia or other literacy challenges, or simply wants to stay on track, our engaging and personalised sessions help them return to school feeling confident, capable, and ready to succeed.
